Divisa Aquarium
See Yimbaya Maranoa Folder to see more images of the Collective. This folder shows my works for the 2026 exhibition. 1. Woodblock; Enlarged and drawn as standing figures, sandstone rocks found in the headwater tributary of the Maranoa River are reimagined as another way of seeing beyond the waterway and it’s deeper connections. The title divisa aquarium was used by surveyor Thomas Mitchell, to describe his vision of the ‘unexplored’ watershed boundaries, the division of the waters, while looking through a theodolite eyepiece. Divisa aquarium reminds me of other lines of disconnection such as that between land and water, and people and water.
2. Chain of ponds artist book; The book was created in situ on the Maranoa Riverbed over 3 different camps from 2024-2026. How much does the river change each time the water floods its banks?
3. Way of the River I and II. Ink and acrylic on clayboard.
